Native Plant Identification Skill-Share
Saturday, May 6 at Discovery Park
1pm – 4pm
Join Queer Scouts on a nature walk and skill share on native plant identification. Sam and Scott will share their knowledge on how to identify some of Washington’s native plants while we go for a walk in Discovery Park.
Meet in the North Parking Lot at the back left corner of the parking lot (by the billboard.) Please prepare for muddy terrian. I recommend wearing pants, boots, and rain gear. I also recommend bringing water, snacks/lunch, and a notebook with a pen or pencil (optional).
It will be a light to moderate hike but there are some obstructions on the trail we will have to climb over (a small fallen tree). The trail will probably be a little slippery from rain. We will start off with a short walk focusing on plant ID and finish with hiking a section of the Loop Trail to do a review. After that, there is an option to continue hiking to North Beach with us!
